Descriptions:

Waterproof dry bag is built for paddle sports, hiking and travel when you can’t afford wet gear. The rugged PVC tarpaulin shell, welded seams and roll-top closure work together to keep clothes, electronics and valuables dry in heavy rain and splashes.

Choose from 2–30L to match your load: small sizes for phone and essentials, larger ones as a simple waterproof backpack for river trekking or camping. The lightweight design packs flat when not in use, while bright colors and a smooth white inner lining make it easy to find what you need, even in low light.

FAQs

Q1: How waterproof is this dry bag?
A1: The bag is rated IPX6, which means it protects your gear from heavy rain, splashes, spray and strong water jets. It can handle brief accidental immersion, but it is not designed for deep or long-term submersion such as diving or keeping it underwater for a long time.

Q2: Will the bag float if it falls into the water?
A2: Yes. If you leave some air inside when you roll the top and close the buckle, the bag will float on the surface with most typical loads. This gives you extra time to retrieve it if it falls off a kayak or boat.

Q3: Which size should I choose?
A3:
2L is ideal for phone, keys and wallet.
5L suits daily essentials and a light layer.
10L fits a towel and change of clothes.
15L–20L are great for overnight and weekend trips.
30L is best if you want one bag to carry most of your camping or paddling gear.
If you’re unsure, it’s usually safer to size up so you have extra room.

Q4: Do all bags come with a shoulder strap?
A4: Yes. Every Freevane dry bag includes a shoulder carrying system. The 2L, 5L and 10L sizes include one adjustable strap, while the 15L, 20L and 30L sizes include two straps so you can carry them like a backpack.

Q5: Can I use this as my main hiking backpack?
A5: The larger sizes (15–30L) can be worn as a simple waterproof backpack for short hikes, river trekking or paddle trips. However, they do not have the same internal frame or padded hip belt as a technical hiking pack, so for very long distances you may prefer to use it inside a regular backpack as a waterproof liner.

Q6: Is it safe to put my phone or camera directly inside the bag?
A6: For most conditions, the IPX6 protection is enough for phones and cameras. For very sensitive electronics or if you expect a lot of submersion, we recommend using a small additional waterproof pouch or case inside the dry bag for extra peace of mind.

Q7: How do I clean and care for the dry bag?
A7: After each trip, rinse off salt or mud with fresh water and wipe the bag with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed. Let it dry completely before storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and avoid sharp objects that could puncture the fabric.
