When to replace

Swap your tips when the carbide point looks flat, the housing is cracked, or baskets no longer seat correctly.

Compatibility

  • Fits Freevane poles and most trekking poles using standard press-fit / glue-in tip housings.
  • If unsure, message us with your pole model.

Installation (hot-water method)

  1. Heat a mug/pot of hot (not boiling) water.
  2. Dip the old tip housing for 30–60 seconds to soften the adhesive.
  3. With a cloth, pull straight off the old housing.
  4. Align the new tip; press on firmly until fully seated.
  5. Let it cool & set, then test plant on firm ground.

*Avoid open flame/heat guns—they can damage carbon fiber.

FAQ

Do I need special glue?
Many tip housings are factory-glued; the hot-water method softens existing adhesive. If yours feels loose, use a small amount of outdoor-grade adhesive and let cure fully.

Will these fit other brands?
They fit most press-fit systems. If your poles use threaded or proprietary tips, contact us first.

How often should I replace tips?
Depends on mileage/terrain; inspect every few trips—flat or chipped carbide means it’s time.
